Lyder Røed - New Single - Out N' About
"Out N' About is my tribute to the classic Blue Note sound that first made me fall in love with jazz. Inspired by Lee Morgan's Cornbread, the tune is built around a simple, memorable melody, a deep swing feel, and plenty of room for conversation between the musicians.
Featuring Aksel Røed on tenor saxophone, Philip Granly on piano, Andreas Svabø on bass, Elias Tafjord on drums, and myself on trumpet, the recording captures the energy of five musicians enjoying the tradition while putting their own stamp on it."
Warm, swinging, and unapologetically straight-ahead, Out N' About tips its hat to the past while keeping its feet firmly planted in the present.

Sondre Moshagen Lightning Trio feat. Kit Downes - New Single - Forever
Sondre Moshagen Lightning Trio present their new single "Forever", featuring Kit Downes. The track, recorded in a single take, emerged as a spontaneous idea while Downes was in Trondheim producing the trio’s debut album, Lightning. After more than a year sitting on a hard drive, it is a great joy to finally share this music.
Forever grabs your attention and makes you want to dance with your ears wide open. Bassist Kertu Aer and drummer Steinar Heide Bø lay down a blazing groove over a harmonic progression elegantly colored by Kit Downes on Rhodes and Sondre Moshagen on synth and piano.

Erik Honoré - New Album on Punkt Editions - Temporary Empire
Today, Erik Honoré’s Temporary Empire is out on Punkt Editions
The album captures the unedited performance at Punkt 2025 by Erik Honoré, Eivind Lønning and Mark Wastell. Produced and mixed by Erik, recorded by Geir Østensjø, mastered by Stephan Mathieu, design by Nina Birkeland. CD and Bandcamp site feature full texts.
The project began with the story of fifteen ships trapped in the Suez Canal after the Six-Day War in 1967, stranded for more than eight years. Cut off from the world, crews formed a strange floating community sustained by care, improvisation and endurance rather than conquest or power. One of the caretakers of the stranded ships was Erik’s father. That personal connection became the emotional core of the piece: memory, maintenance, acts of keeping things — and names — intact.
